Katahdin sheep are a domestic breed developed in Maine and known for their reproductive quality, flocking instinct, and resistance to parasites. We chose this breed for the ease of maintenance and quality of their meat.
We prefer to lamb in early to mid-April. Weaned lambs are ready to leave the farm as early as 3 months old. However, we prefer to allow our ewes to self-wean which can sometimes take a bit longer.
